After launching a couple of smartphones in June, it appears that Huawei is planning to officially announce a new tablet in India. The tablet named Huawei MediaPad7 Youth 2 has not yet been announced officially for India, however, it is now available to purchase in India via various online retailers, priced between Rs. 10,678 and Rs. 11,499.
The MediaPad 7 Youth2 tablet, according to its official specifications page on the Huawei global site, runs Android 4.3 paired with Huawei Emotion UI 1.6, and features a 7-inch display with a resolution of 1024x600 pixels. It is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 MSM8x12 (Cortex-A7) processor, coupled with 1GB of RAM.
Other features of the Huawei MediaPad 7 Youth2, gleaned from its Infibeam, Amazon and Flipkart listings, include 4GB of built-in storage, and optional storage expandability up to 32GB. It bears a 3-megapixel fixed focus rear camera, and a 0.3-megapixel fixed focus front-facing camera for video chatting.
Apart from 3G (21Mbps HSPA+) connectivity, the Huawei MediaPad 7 Youth2 is listed to feature Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Micro-USB, a 3.5mm jack, and A-GPS connectivity features. The MediaPad 7 Youth2 runs on a 4100mAh Li-Po battery.
The Huawei MediaPad 7 Youth 2 measures 120.6x193.4x9.9mm, and weighs in at 350 grams. The tablet, according to the Amazon listing, features voice calling facility and a metal unibody. Notably, the official global site listing does not mention voice calling, but does list a built-in mic and speaker. The tablet is available in Black and Champagne colour variants.
